Rachel has been studying food and healing for more than 15 years. She holds a Master of Science in Nutrition from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine, a certificate in Health Coaching from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and a BA in Communications from Hofstra University. Before teaming up with Stefanie, Rachel spent a decade marrying her extensive background in advertising, writing and design with health and wellness at CulinArt, a leader in innovative institutional food service for corporations, high education, private schools, senior centers and more. There she led the company’s comprehensive health, wellness and sustainability initiatives, including the creation and ongoing evolution of CulinArt’s Eat Well program. She is the author of numerous articles on food-based healing.
Rachel's philosophy is in full alignment with Stefanie's. Food is medicine and she is a firm believer that a plant-centric food lifestyle can transform an individuals health and well being.
A native Northforker, Rachel now lives outside of New York City with her husband and three active kids. When she’s not in the kitchen creating new healthy recipes, you can find her on her yoga mat or out for a run.
